The New Coupon Fanatic Trend - Extreme Couponing

So the new trend I've noticed popping up everywhere is coupon clipping (or coupon printing). First I saw a show about it called Extreme Couponing on TLC. It shows people finding coupons and getting hundreds of products and leaving with the store with more money than they came with. The store owes them at the end of checkout! They are obsessed, but they are not only saving money, they are earning money. The show also shows you how to become an extreme couponer, so you can try it out for yourself.
My sister even started trying extreme couponing. She took a picture of all of the products she got, and THE GROCERY STORE PAID HER $0.79. Her "purchase" included 2 boxes of Nutri-Grain bars, 8 packages of EXPO dry erase markers, 6 packages of Sharpies, 2 packages of Bic click pencils, 11 tubes of Aquafresh toothpaste, 6 packs of Trident gum, 3 Scotch tape, 5 Degree deodorant, and some tums. I couldn't believe it.

This is what my sister's been doing. She's done it quite a few times now and she only started a few weeks ago. I have to admit, it's very impressive.

So you can definitely save money by clipping coupons, and in a way, because you're saving so much, it's like you're making money. If it took her 1 hour to find those coupons, and she saved approximately $100, it's like she made $100 in 1 hour. If you're saving that much money, that means you either don't have to work as much to survive, or you get to have more money to put in the savings account or spend on entertainment.

Some people do this as a ministry to help others. On the Extreme Couponing show, most of the extreme couponers donate most of the items to churches or other countries where people don't have the access or the money to buy things like toothpaste.

I think it is a great idea. I will update you regularly with other extreme coupon stories and let you know of the best coupon websites so you can get the most out of your own exteme couponing.

Here's one good source for learning the extreme coupon clipping business: The Power Couponer

Or try the Coupon Chick Code eBook, a very cheap ebook that tells you how save. Because it's an ebook, you don't have to wait for it to come in the mail. You get instant access, so you can get started right away.

So go out there and clip and print coupons 'til your heart's content. Good luck! And come back soon for more tips.
